The White House is up in the market for $9.88 million. Not the official residence of the United States President though but just a replica located at DeKalb County, Georgia. The house is owned by luxury homes builder Fred Milani who has resided in the White House for seven years.

Milani, who has 10 houses up in the market, is selling the White House in order to avoid foreclosure problems. The 16,500-square foot White House is one-third less than the size of the real White House but it is pretty cool just the same. If you think you can drop by anytime under pretense of being a buyer just to get…

A historical house built for Edgar J. Kaufmann by popular architect Richard Neutra at a cost of $295,.000 is now back at the auction market barely six months after it was won in a Christie’s Great Estates auction by an anonymous foreigner for $19 million.  The 61-year old house is however back not with a vengeance but with a whimper as it is being sold at a cheaper price of only $12.98 million.  The property is however estimated to be worth from $15 million to $25 million.

It seems that the modernist architectural style is no longer as popular today as it was before.  Proof of this is the seeming disinterest…

A spaceship-shaped home appropriately dubbed the “Spaceship House” in Signal Mountain, Tennessee has been put out of the auction market after James Faris’s $119,000 bid made him the new owner of the infamous house. Faris, who is a resident of Signal Mountain, bought the queer-shaped house for investment purposes as he plans to rent it out during weekends.

Faris might be getting a good return on investment because weekend visitors might find staying at ET’s house more exciting than staying at an ordinary hotel. If you are planning to visit the place for the weekend then don’t forget to pass by 1408 Palisades Road and check out the Spaceship House which…

The New Orleans home of the actor is…

A Hollywood Hills home owned by singer Jewel and her husband Ty Murray is up in the market.  The Grammy Award nominee is selling her luxurious home, which boasts of an office, a private deck, two bathrooms, a car garage and two bedrooms, for $1.7 million.

The main selling point of the property is however the fact that it was once owned by a celebrity and that it has a great view of the city lights.

The price of her abode may be too low considering her celebrity status but it is already a far cry from her previous dwelling place—a van. However, the fact that Jewel’s home has a total area…

The growing popularity of the Internet has made information more accessible to people from all walks of life.  Thus, looking for real estate for sale whether for residential or commercial purpose is fairly easy even without the help of a real estate agent or broker.

Research shows that 32% of real estate buyers this year used the Internet to seek information on the property which they ultimately purchased. So did the Internet made real estate agents and brokers a thing of the past?

Real estate brokers and agents disagree.  While the Internet offers an efficient method by which buyers can find homes and other properties, you still need real estate brokers and…

Even the iconic Boston City Hancock Towers has not been spared from the real estate woes bugging the nation.  The Hancock Towers is the latest casualty of an economic slump which forced most of its tenants to vacate their offices in exchange for more affordable facilities.

During these times, companies including the locators of Hancock Towers find it more practical and cost efficient to locate in more modest locations.  It is also during these times when most landlords reduce their rents to fill in vacant spaces.
This recent happening is ironic considering the city’s bid to encourage high-end construction.

The decrease in the number of tenants plus the lowering of office space rents…

Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich is now in hot water not only for his nefarious dealings for which he was recently arrested but also for the real estate dealings of his wife Patricia which were allegedly closed using his influence. Authorities were already investigating the couple for their real estate deals as early as 2007.  Patricia was reported to have made a killing in her real estate deals to state contractors, fundraisers and political supporters.

Patricia, who was also accused of helping the Governor in getting the highest bidder for the US Senate seat vacated by President-elect Barack Obama, switched careers earlier this year amidst the on-going federal investigation. She was caught…

It looks like the Atlanta Rap Star, T-Boz of the 90’s girls group TLC, is losing her home to foreclosure. The home which is valued at 1.5 million is being foreclosed over a 530,000 dollar loan.

These rough economic times are hard for all I guess. She joins Evander Holyfield as famous Atlantan’s to face foreclosure. One huge difference is that in Atlanta a million dollar plus home is huge, while on the coasts they are much smaller so the expenses are much higher on the Atlanta homes.

It is knows now that the five-bedroom, nearly 10,000-sq. ft. house owned by T-Boz (real name: Tionne Watkins-Rolison) is about to go on the…
